Dr Padraic Dunne is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist who has a bachelor's degree (First class honours) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College (Dublin) and Middlesex University (UK), which involved four years of study.
Before he trained as a counsellor and psychotherapist, he spent 15 years working as a medical research scientist at University College London and Trinity College Dublin. He has a doctorate (PhD) in Immunology (study of the immune system) from the Royal Free and University Medical School, University College London. In addition, he has published over twenty research articles and lectured in Immunology to both scientists and medical students.
After the death of his mother, he re-evaluated his life and purpose, which led him to the study and practice of counselling and psychotherapy. He subsequently set up a private practice in Athy, Co. Kildare. He lives in rural Kildare with his partner and daughter.
